New research suggests that taking folic acid, combined with vitamin B12, may help you retain memory. According to the study, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, when older adults took 400 mcg folic acid and 100 mcg vitamin B12 daily for two years, their cognitive functioning improved, especially in memory tasks.
