Special Awards at VSC 2012

By all accounts Lou Wolgast’s Madman 56(above left) was a striking model. That’s why it won the Best Appearing Old Time award. Lou, the CD of VSC, put a Double Star 50 up front, in his legally enlarged version of the J.C. Yates design. “Spirit of 46” award went to Roy DeCamara with his Anderson Spitfire 65 powered
Wildman 60 (above right). Model was also 7th in Ignition. “Most Unusual” Award went to Jim Lee with his Fox 29 powered Super Wildcat(below left) built from a DeBolt D’Meco kit from 1946. 33rd in OTS. Jim Rhoade’s rendition of Jerry Worth’s Apteryx(below right), earned Jim the Spirit of 64 award.
