Each and every one of you can par- ticipate in planning and organizing this special event. Betsy Blades Skinner (bladeskinner@gmail.com), Cathy Offin- ger (coffinger@whoi.edu), and others have offered their leadership, and they will need help in many areas. If you are interested, please contact one of them or me. We would all love to visit with class- mates and show Skidmore our class pride. Everyone is invited to join the 40th Re- union Planning Committee, which will convene in Saratoga this coming July 26–28, or just offer your ideas and thoughts. He runs cross-country in the fall, runs during the winter, and finishes up the year with the Ultimate Frisbee team. Marianne still enjoys Lexington, MA, but says the itch to move is setting in. She thinks she’ll stay put until Sam goes to college, but then “all bets are off ” Last June Sherie Berk and her swimming team logged race times that won them two US Masters top-10 relay awards. She also swam in the National Senior Games in Houston, TX, last summer and in the Pan- American Games, with the Ft. Lauderdale Aquatics Masters Team, in Rio de Janeiro in November. Sherie made a quick trip to London in August to see the acclaimed Top Girls, in which she’d had six roles when it played at NYC’s Public Theatre in 1983. Because Sherie was offered as many house seats as she wanted, she was able to share great memories with several of her best friends in London. She says, “It was magic.” In October she went cruising in the Bahamas with Zoë Vose Morsette ’73. Sherie is very proud of her sister, Roberta Berk Willis (even though she went to Vassar ), a six-term Connecticut State Representative who works to support the arts, education, and UConn. Sherie sells real estate in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. Peg Boyers, executive editor of Salma- gundi and a Skidmore faculty member, recently had poems in Southwest Review, Sewanee Review, Notre Dame Review, Earth Daughters, and Hudson Review, and her “Tobacco” was reprinted in Women’s Work: Modern Women Poets Writing in English. This past winter she took part in a Ranieri Fellows reading at KGB in NYC and taught a four-week course called “Throw- ing Your Voice: Translation for Writers and Vampires” in Columbia University’s MFA program.
