Drawers ahead
BITO’s Compact Storage Module is a new small parts storage solution comprising drawers with a load capacity of 150kg that pull out smoothly by 100% to present clear access.
O
ptimising storage space without restrict- ing access means pickers can ac- cess and retrieve parts that are stored right at the back of the drawer just
as easily as they can pick items from the front.
50% savings on storage space Work in narrow aisles
Improved efficiency
Versatile indoor & outdoor operation Lower costs
Replace counterbalance and reach trucks
Drawer lots: BITO’s Compact Storage Module offers 100% access.
The 1,550mm-tall Compact Storage Module is 1,206mm deep and 900mm wide, which al- lows three units to fit into a typical 2.7m-wide bay of racking. The standard unit is fitted with five drawers and an anti-tilt device that only al- lows one drawer to be extended at a time. Drawers have been designed to house dividers and BITO’s range of containers. This includes its XL containers, which means that a combination of dif- ferent bin dimensions will fit within the drawer’s footprint in the most space-efficient pattern. Edward Hutchison, MD at BITO Storage Sys- tems, said: “Manufacturing trends such as JIT and Kanban, along with the phenomenal growth of online retail, where products are picked in singles, means the demand for innovative small parts stor- age solutions is on the rise. By combining the most space-efficient design with complete access to prod- ucts, BITO’s Compact Storage Module will be the ideal solution for many storage operations.” n
