Healthy hips and hearts
There are over 80 Healthy Hips and Hearts exercise sessions across the city, each run by volunteers. The gentle exercises for over 50's, can improve balance, strength and mobility as well as being fun and a chance to meet up with old friends and new.
Active lifestyles
If you have heart disease or an associated risk factor such as high blood pressure or raised cholesterol, your GP can refer you to the Active Lifestyles Team. They will tailor an exercise programme that’s just for you. Whether you are new or returning to exercise the team can offer support at the level you need and help access a wide range of enjoyable and sociable activities whatever your ability.
