When you contact us, we will help you make good choices by giving you information and advice. We can help you to look for groups, services and activities and we can suggest ideas to you. If you are worried about joining a new group, there are services which can help you with this and even come along with you.
There are many organisations in the city that may be able to inform and advise you. Some are called user-led organisations - they are run by people who use services. These include: Access to all Areas; Deaf Gathering; Making Space; Mental Health Forum; Mind in Salford; Salford Being Heard; Salford Disability Forum; Salford Forum of Older People; SUGGEST; Swinton and Worsley Mencap.
Other organisations such as Citizens Advice Bureaux, our own Welfare Rights Service and AgeUK Salford have quality assurance standards for their information and advice.
You can also get information and advice about your money from independent financial advisors and solicitors. A good place to find these is
