CAREERS DAY 25.04.2012
Do your future a favour by attending PFA Scotland’s Careers Day
PFA Scotland will host its Annual Careers Day at Hampden Park on Wednesday 25th April 2012. The Careers Day continues to provide an invaluable information service to players who are looking to plan their post football career, and also offers current recruitment opportunities for those players whose contracts are due to expire within the coming months.
Following the success of last year, the event will follow a similar format with the day being segmented in the following way: Information sessions for apprentices who still have contracts secured with their clubs Information sessions for apprentices who
are coming to the end of their contract and are unlikely to have it renewed Information sessions for senior players looking for alternative future career options.
The session for the first apprentice group will include presentations on subjects such as Social Media, PFA Scotland membership services and the importance of preparing for life outside the game. For the second apprentice group there will be information and attendance from the likes of the Police Force, Football Scholarship programmes, Personal Training Education and Coaching Opportunities.
While attendance at the event is mandatory for all youth players participating in the SFA Modern Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence, other apprentice players are openly encouraged to attend the day. With regards to the senior players a detailed programme of the day including presenters and timings is shown overleaf.
