Ecobuild: LONDON CALLING

Whether you’re a seasoned operator in the renewables sector or just want to find out whether it’s right for your business, there’s plenty on show at this year’s Ecobuild event. Andrew Brister gives you a sneak preview

A

lready taken the plunge into the renewables market? Fancy dipping your toes in to see what’s it all about? For contractors at either end of the spectrum, the Ecobuild show is a

must-visit. The organisers broadly boast that: ‘Ecobuild is the world’s

biggest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment and the UK’s largest construction event of any kind.’ And with more than 1,500 exhibitors, a host of conference and seminar sessions and practical demonstrations, there is more than enough going on to spend the whole three days there. We’ve done the donkey work, highlighting some of

the must-see elements of the show, so that you can make the most of your time there. Don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes.

Visitors should come to the ECA/ELECSA stand to find out more about: n How ECA/ELECSA are working with the industry to drive the sustainability and renewables agenda;

n How existing members are already doing more than installing renewable technologies – they are also providing energy solutions by helping clients to assess their energy needs and ultimately reduce their bills;

n The benefits of ECA membership: support, advice, industry representation, publications, events, training and certification;

n The benefits of MCS certification through ELECSA; and n Training courses on renewables (see opposite).
