On March 4, 21 members of PCMA’s Canada East Chapter had a chance to vicariously experience the inten- sity of competitive racing withan educational program on “Setting Goals and Achieving Them,” held at The Fairmont Royal York in Toronto. Guest speaker Jeff Adams, a multi- time Olympic and Paralympic athlete, hasn’t let his disabili- ty slow him down. Instead, Adams told attendees, the ability to achieve any goal starts with individual willingness. “While we may not necessarily see ourselves as Olympians,” Canada East Chapter Administrator Julie Siedel said, “Jeff left our participants with the encouragement that we can absolutely achieve ‘medals’ of our own desire by staying positive, believing that there isn’t any- thing we cannot do, and by main- taining a strong personal mes- sage.”
