Rethink Cocoa: Make it Part of Your Daily Diet A note from our CEO & Founder Naomi Whittel
I’ve always known that chocolate has a powerful emotional appeal. When I was growing up, my grandmother would say, “Always start your day with a piece of chocolate.” It turns out that she was onto something: Eating chocolate every day may be just what the doctor ordered.*
We have ample evidence to support the health benefits of cocoa and dark chocolate.* My fascination with the science behind cocoa has grown with each new major university study. The first was Harvard researcher Dr. Norman Hollenberg’s study of the Kuna Nation of coastal Panama.†
The amazing story that inspired CocoaWell®
Dr. Hollenberg observed that the Kuna maintain normal blood pressure as they age—a perfect 110/70—and enjoy exceptional heart health, though they eat a high-salt diet.* The reason they are healthy: They drink cocoa like water—up to five cups a day.*
A recent study published in the British Medical Journal reported that eating chocolate regularly supports cardiovascular health.‡
The CocoaWell supplement line is a unique delivery system that avoids the sugar, fat and calories associated with eating chocolate.* It combines whole-food organic cocoa with Pure Plant Flavanol Complex (PPF Complex™), a blend of green tea and acacia catechu.
Why rethink cocoa? What makes it healthy?
CocoaWell’s PPF Complex delivers the health benefits of three types of polyphenols—EGCG, catechin and epicatechin.* Just one two-capsule serving of CocoaWell provides powerful antioxidants to help strengthen arterial walls, increase blood flow and improve circulation.*
Which products are right for you?
Maximum Potency Organic Cocoa With 270 mg of EGCG, 150 mg of catechin and 30 mg of epicatechin, contains the highest polyphenol content of natural products on the market.* One serving contains the antioxidant equivalent of eight dark chocolate bars.*

“How many studies does it take to prove cocoa is healthy? Hundreds. Each new study is further proof of how effective cocoa polyphenols are for supporting the heart, brain and immune systems.* See the studies at

—Naomi Whittel Learn about the Kuna of Panama.
Reserveage Organics, maker of CocoaWell, has entered into a landmark sustainable business agreement with the indigenous Kuna, whose sacred health practice of drinking cocoa inspired the CocoaWell product line. Delegates from each of the Kuna’s 49 communities— the Kuna General Congress of Panama— voted to approve the agreement, signed by Reserveage Founder and CEO Naomi Whittel inside a Panamanian hut in the Yansibdiwar community of Kuna Yala on October 30, 2011. This marked the first time the Kuna agreed to the use of their images to promote a product.
