Learner Development Unit Once you have started your degree course, you can take advantage of our free English tuition provided by our Learner Development Unit. When you arrive at Middlesex you’ll normally be asked to complete a needs analysis to help the University’s language staff advise you about the assistance you can get while you study here. We offer tutorials and weekly workshops focusing on written and oral communication skills. You can also study on your own by using multimedia learning packages at our language centres on many campuses, and guidance is available from the language advising team. If you wish to gain formal academic recognition for your language training, you can choose to take additional study modules which are assessed.

Alumni Association After your graduation the Middlesex University Alumni Association exists to foster lasting ties between Middlesex and its world-wide network of former students and staff. There are currently over 30,000 registered members. It offers a variety of benefits, including a host of professional and social networking opportunities, regular communication via our bi-annual magazine, and many discounted offers. We are currently working on more proactive involvement from our alumni with current students. For example, if you are interested in a particular career, industry or field of work, we can put you in touch with former Middlesex students who have experience working in a particular area.
