Don’t Miss Out on Energy Camp and Youth Tour!!!

I

t may seem like spring is ages from now, but Ozarks Electric Cooperative employees are already preparing for the 2011 YouthPower Energy Camp and Youth Tour to Washington, D.C., which take place in May and June. For area students, that means sharpening their understanding of how a cooperative works. Ozarks Electric will select two students from Oklahoma for both Youth Tour and Energy Camp based on their understanding of the Cooperative history. Judges will select the winners based on the quality of those letters. Energy Camp, for students

currently in eighth grade, will be held May 31 to June 2 at Canyon Camp near Hinton, OK. The rural electric Youth Tour, for high school juniors, takes place June 10-16. Ozarks Electric youth program coordinator Mitch Styles will be contacting schools and teachers in school systems in Ozarks Oklahoma service area with details.
