of using terms with alternative, everyday meanings. Sometimes the everyday defi nition can
help you understand the metalcasting defi nition, and sometimes it can further confuse. To help clarify, we’ve set up a short glossary of terms with double meanings, taken from the American Foundry Society’s Metalcasting Dictionary and
