It’s celebrity silly season at the moment, with launch parties, awards ceremonies and PR stunts meaning that everyone from sporting heroes, soap stars and reality TV ‘stars’ are out in force. So, we’re encouraging the toy trade to get involved with a bit of celebrity stalking. We want pictures of you with the aforementioned A/B/C/Z listers. We’re afraid there are no prizes, but you will get bragging

rights among your peers. To start you off – and setting the bar nice and high

- here’s a photo of Ella Williamson, Something For the Weekend’s ‘Gadget Girl’ and BBTradesales’ product and marketing specialist, with The Queen* at last month’s Brand Licensing Europe. * Okay, so maybe she wasn’t the real Queen, but she did a damn good impersonation.

The team from Paul Lamond Games are taking part in the Movember challenge to raise funds for, and awareness of, prostate and testicular cancer. The idea is that for the entire month of November, the normally clean-shaven members of the team will grow moustaches and try to retain as much dignity as possible in the process. Richard Wells, the firm’s sales

director, commented: “Hopefully our customers will bear with us and not giggle too much at the various straggly efforts on our top lips.” If you would like to support the challenge, you can donate by visiting www.movember.com under the team name Paul Lamond. The firm promises to match all donations and a photo complete with moustaches will be published as proof.
