MAINTENANCE SOFTWARE www.zonarsystems.com 800-905-2240, ext. 3219

Tomas Built Buses upgraded its front-

engine, Type D transit-style school bus and renamed it the EFX to reflect an upgraded engine, extra features, and improved driver storage and technician access. Te new EFX holds up to 90 passengers and offers many of the same options as its predeces- sor, along with a redesigned exterior that enables easy access to electrical compo- nents. Tere is also a new engine cover and increased cockpit storage for added comfort.

Te new “eTrans” by Trans Tech Bus is

the nation’s first-ever, full-production, fac- tory-made, all-electric Type-A school bus. It combines Trans Tech’s Type-A body with Smith Electric Vehicles’ all-electric, zero- emissions Newton chassis powered by an all-new drivetrain. Te eTrans is expected to run about 100 to 130 miles per charge on its lithium-ion batteries, depending on passenger load, terrain and driver habits. Each bus will require a single-phase, J1772- compliant charging station.

Zonar teamed with TMW Systems to in-

tegrate pre- and post-trip inspection results and remote vehicle diagnostics within TMT Fleet Maintenance software, which accesses the Zonar data to identify and prioritize re- pairs, pre-order parts, schedule service and automate work order processes. Zonar’s Electronic Vehicle Inspection Report (EVIR) system verifies pre- and post-trip inspections. V2J High-Definition GPS & Vehicle Diagnos- tics System provides next-generation GPS capabilities along with real-time delivery of vehicle condition and performance data.
