as tobacco, environmental toxins, and viruses. In addition, as countries prosper, their populations adopt a less healthy lifestyle, becoming more obese. According to the World Health Organization, the projected number of deaths worldwide from malignant neoplasms is expected to grow from 7.4 million in 2004 to 11.9 million in 2030.
