casting processes where accuracy and repeatable mold filling is required. The ProDos DPC and VPC proprietary control systems ensure repeatability of ±2% of pour weight. Pour weights can vary from a few ounces to several hundred pounds into high pressure dies, permanent molds or sand casting lines. Designed to suit the needs of European markets where energy costs are exorbitant, energy efficiency is an important feature and can be as low as 25% of a traditional open well holding furnace. Combine these features with reduced labor and maintenance needs and the payback starts immediately.

The Eco-Top hood assembly’s most notable features are the reduc- tion of heat losses and the ability to remove exhaust emissions during charging, melting, and casting. The welded steel furnace hood is refractory lined and is attached with a floating system to provide a level seal over the melt.
