QUEEN OF HOXTON, LONDON, UK

Baraka sound system! Cosmic Boogie & Big In Japan invite JD Twitch to soundtrack experimental documentary on Queen of Hoxton rooftop…

‘BARAKA’, Ron Fricke’s 1992 experimental documentary exploring the “power, rage and essence” of life on planet earth is an epic montage of stylistic footage, evocative imagery and dialectical symbolism with a dramatic orchestral soundtrack (just check the trailer above).

On Friday 23rd September, Optimo’s JD Twitch will set up shop on the roof of East London’s Queen of Hoxton to soundtrack a live screening of the film with a bespoke DJ set at dusk. Deliberately designed to send

the imaginative minds of Shoreditch on a sensory voyage they will never forget, the screening – set on a stylish rooftop with a 360-degree panoramic view of the big smoke – will not only be accompanied with a mind- blowing soundtrack from one of Glasgow’s most audacious DJs, it will come with a full-stocked bar, a tasty BBQ kitchen plus a full on party downstairs after featuring the man himself and a load of other DJs (Dicky Trisco, Cosmic Boogie, KAT Records, Blacklodge, Neil Diablo, Kidwho and Capita).
