Count on this! BPM Mexico counts down the days until 5th Anniversary carnage…


BLUE SKIES, palm trees and beautiful bikini babes bouncing around to the sound of bumping beats by the sea… hardly your usual party fodder for the first week of January, eh? But that’s because the majority of us (especially us Brits) are used to bitterly cold winters, consisting of drinking mulled wine and toasting pine nuts by an open fire (or something like that). Our New Year’s Eves are so insanely freezing that getting trashed in your local pub is usually the best option to avoid roadblock queues, the stress of getting to the bar and the ordeal of securing enough space on the dancefloor to actually throw some actual shapes.


So, all things considered, a week-long dance music festival offering the best in house, techno and electro at paradisal beach resort Playa Del Carmen in Mexico is the place to be from 31st December to 9th January.


And with last year’s string of events featuring the likes of Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, Nick Curly and Simon Baker slamming pumping tunes in tropical heat at a stunning beach bar venue, we are already counting down the days (112 to be exact) until the first event kicks off and they haven’t even announced the full line-up for 2011/2012 – their 5th Anniversary – yet.
