Next I turn my attention to the headlight. A dark gray is mixed up and the details are added into the headlight.

A touch of white is added to lighten up the color and the middle tone details are now added to the headlight.

A small amount of white is added again and the lightest details are added to the headlight.

From here the same process is used throughout the entire painting. In the case of the grill however the steps are re- versed. Instead of going dark to light, they go light to dark. The light grill lines and the mustang are both defined first.

The darker gray is used to clean up imperfections in the grill and also to add contrast to other areas of the painting such as the reflection of the headlight in the bumper.
