WHAT IS THE E-CHECK PROGRAM? Viking offers a special 3% savings when you pay via e-check (an electronic debit to your checking account). It is a quick and convenient way to pay for your vacation and as secure as using a credit card. Ask for details at the time of booking.
WHAT ARE SOME OTHER WAYS TO SAVE ON MY VIKING TRIP? Once you travel with Viking you are a member of the Viking Explorer Society, and as part of this loyalty program, you earn credits on future Viking journeys. For details, see page 136.

CAN I UPGRADE THE COMPLIMENTARY BEVERAGES? Yes. Viking offers its Silver Spirits beverage package that offers upgrades to our complimentary wine with lunch and dinner as well as additional cocktails. Ask for details when making your reservation.
DO I NEED A VISA TO TRAVEL WITH VIKING? If you are traveling with us to Russia, China, Egypt, Jordan or Southeast Asia, you will need a visa. A valid passport is required to make these arrangements. As a service to our U.S. and Canadian guests, visas can be arranged through an independent third-party service; ask for a visa kit. For all other guests, please contact your country’s consulate.
IS THERE A DRESS CODE? Dress is casual and comfortable, both on board and ashore, and you will want comfortable shoes for walking tours. There are no “formal nights” aboard, but there Captain’s Dinners, performances or other dressier events where you might like to bring “dressy casual” wear.
ARE THE SHIPS NONSMOKING? All Viking ship interiors and staterooms are nonsmoking. Each ship has an outdoor smoking area.
DO I NEED TRAVEL PROTECTION? While it is not required, we do recommend obtaining it. You may purchase it on your own, or Viking offers a cancel- for-any-reason option. See page 139 for more information.
