Online marketplace

Online service Comcero offers an easy way for electrical contractors and customers to find each other – and it costs absolutely nothing to join. The ECA has now teamed up with Comcero to promote ECA registered members on the site. Andrew Manners of Comcero explains how it works

E

ver wished you could just go online and find a local person who needed the service you offer, and get a list of work that is delivered right into your lap? Or been in the position where you needed someone

to provide a service to you – like an electrician, plumber, carpenter, glazier, lawyer, wedding planner or accountant – and you simply describe what you want and automatically you get a list of willing providers? And where can you advertise your professional services

and pay nothing for it? Or get to pick and choose the work you want to do, when you want to do it? Most of us are used to getting work through referrals or

from people who know people who know people, and so on. But none of us in our right mind would ignore the possibility of advertising our services to exactly the people looking for them – and being permitted to advertise those services for free. Valuable at any time, such free publicity can be priceless in today’s tough business environment.

Finding the customers who want us – and thee services we need Also, how many of us want to get hold of other people to do jobs for us? That is, those where we don’t want to go down the DIY route, whether as a professional contractor/partner or just as a simple consumer wanting our windows fixed or plumbing done. Well, there is a little bit of real estate sitting in cyberspace

where all this is happening. It’s a growing space and there is a pretty good argument for being there – whether you’re a provider of a service or as a buyer of a service. The Comcero website – www.comcero.com – is an online

marketplace where providers meet consumers; where your need for a service doesn’t just find someone who can satisfy that need, but is also clever enough to manage the entire quotation and job-completion process in complete security. It’s a place where consumers can communicate with potential providers; where providers can offer their potential customers great prices – in a way where social media meets real business processes and transactions.
