RSM Tenon’s Business Finance Service
The invoice finance industry has had a great 2010 after helping to finance the SME sector in their greatest hour of need which is set to continue for many more years to come. Gone are the days when invoice finance had a negative perception and was seen as the last resort for funding. Today, more and more businesses are using invoice finance for other business goals not just to cover short-term working capital issues. More are using invoice finance to fund mergers and acquisitions and to purchase new business assets to capitalise on the current market conditions. In 2007, we launched our very own business finance team to support the finance related needs of our clients nationally which has developed to support the client needs of our key accountant contacts. We already provide funding advice to a lot of accountancy firm’s clients and are committed to providing quality funding advice.
So what does the service entail? We provide independent impartial funding advice so entrepreneurs can source and obtain appropriate funding facilities for their businesses. We work with business owners to obtain a thorough understanding of the finance requirement of their business,
be it for working capital, asset finance, management buy-outs, and acquisitions and then research the market for the best facility. We can research and provide advice on:
Bank overdrafts and loans. Factoring.
Invoice discounting. Asset-based lending. Stock finance. Trade finance. Asset finance – HP and leasing. Payroll finance.
Professional practices funding. Our business finance team can also
support and advise entrepreneurs on commercial property finance, bridging loans, sales aid leasing and block discounting should the need arise. We have the market knowledge to advise on what type of funding is best suited for your client and which funder is the appropriate partner, saving
time trawling through countless websites and product brochures.
Once there is a thorough understanding of the client’s needs, we search the market and find the most appropriate funding facility at no cost to the client or introducer. Because we are independent the recommendation clients receive is impartial, we are more concerned about the best deal rather than the best commission. However, some accountants have requested commission for their client’s funding facility which we can also arrange as long as the client is aware.
Over the years we have developed quality relationships with an extensive range of financial institutions, resulting in a high success rate for our introductions. Our dedicated business finance team has a wealth of experience in the invoice finance arena and is happy to either effect an introduction to a funder or help with the initial negotiations. We also work closely with the other service lines within RSM Tenon should transactions require additional expertise and specialist services such as corporate finance, business and tax planning, business reviews, turnaround services or recovery. However, we always discuss this with the accountant and client before any work is completed. To arrange an appointment with one of the business finance team, contact:
