If you’d like to really make a difference to the port you’re visiting, a new range of charitable and responsible tourism shore excursions are now available on selected itineraries. This programme of non profit making tours are designed to support the towns and communities visited, as well as giving you a unique experience ashore.
Visits currently include a Children’s Home in Port Kelang and the Peninsular School Feeding Project in Cape Town. Tours are also offered to various wildlife centres such as the Sea Turtle Conservation Centre in Laem Chabang and the Cats and Dogs Rescue Centre in Ko Samui. The tours vary in price with some including a donation and others just covering costs, leaving you free to donate as much or as little as you choose.

Good things come in small packages
Many of the most popular excursions offered by P&O Cruises provide a relatively personal experience as part of a small tour group, allowing you to interact with your guide and get to know your fellow passengers. On the Caribbean island of Curaçao for example, you can descend into the hull of the Seaworld Explorer underwater observatory.
