business2business BeautyUK a success

Visitors and exhibitors have reported a fantastic BeautyUK event, which took place at the NEC Birminghamlastmonth.

The event was theMidlands’ only professional beauty exhibition and was held alongside the UK’s largest complementary therapy exhibition, Holistic Health.

Dear Readers

Well, whether we’ve got the weather or not, Summer is officially here. I hope you’re embracing the opportunities this brings your salon or beauty business.

In this issue of Guild News we’re giving you advice on how to ensure your clients get their perfect Beach Body - not an easy task for some, but with the array of toning, smoothing, slimming and tanning treatments at your disposal, it’s something you can achieve whilst boosting your business at the same time.

If you haven’t already created your pre- holiday beauty packages now’s the time to do so, as there’s plenty of demand, asAndrew Snaddon, UK Sales andMarketingManager for Energist explains: “Potential clients will already be thinking about their Summer holidays and without a doubt will also be thinking about how to look and feelmore confident about themselves whilst soaking up the sun beside the pool.”

Whilst you’re thinking about beach body packages, consider other ways that you can meet client demand for treatments in an innovative way.Take a look at Claire Matthewman’s article, as she quashesmyths about treating pregnant clients and gets some expert advice on the safest way to introduce mum-to-be packages into your salon.

And don’t forget the boys! It’s Fathers Day thismonth (make a date for Sunday 19th June), and youmight be surprised at the number of chaps who are becomingmore comfortable in a salon environment.Market special ‘Dad’sTreat’ packages to your existing female clients and you’ll be solving their gift dilemma as well as encouraging a new client onto your therapy couch.

So, to use an old cliché, ‘think outside the box’ this Summer and see how your profits soar at the same time as the Summer temperatures!

Best wishes,

The two events provided therapists and salon owners with information, product and treatment launches, training innovations and demonstrations of skin care, nails, tanning, massage, aromatherapy, body treatments and salon essentials such as furniture and uniforms.
