OTTAWA KAYAK SCHOOL combines the warm, clean waters of Canada’s best kayaking river with internationally renowned instructors for an incredible experience for every ability level. Courses are 2, 3 and 5 days and include instruction, meals and campsite. Beginner courses and clinics include equipment. Tax and $5/day service fee is added to all instructional programs.
BASIC IMMERSION in the Kayak Week is the best way to introduce you to the world and culture of whitewater. Beginners and Novices spend 5 days progressing at a comfortable pace from flat water “Strokes and Concepts” to running Class 3 whitewater. Basic Immersion is also available as 2 or 3 day clinics.
INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED is designed for paddlers with whitewater basics including your “whitewater roll”. Our elite instructors will take you to the next level with advanced Strokes and Concepts. Learn the framework for excelling in all aspects of river running to hot freestyle moves on big waves. Our instructors will ensure your personal goals are met. Choose our popular Kayak Week, a 2 or 3 Day Clinic or one of our specialty courses like Adult Keeners or an Eric Jackson Week.

Teen Resident Camp
Job training is the last thing teens think about when learning to kayak but many graduates end up working for us as river guides and kayak instructors. Teens are supervised 24/7 and stay in cabins (Bring a sleeping bag). Qualifies for $500 Canadian fitness tax credit. See above for rates.
