GENTLE FAMILY RAFTING
Family rafting began a dozen years ago when Joe’s sister, Jill and her family were visiting. The kids wanted to go rafting and Joe figured he could guide them down the Middle Channel by carefully choosing “kid friendly” routes. At the base of Garvin Chute, a spectacular 20’ waterfall, Jill remarked “this is the best day our family has spent together”. Considering Jill’s husband Ross was an airline captain and they have the world as their playground, her glowing comments launched WT’s family programs.
There are few things in life that parents and children can do together and both age groups enjoy, but family rafting is one of them. Families (or hesitant first timers) can choose a day trip on the Middle Channel. Our best family program is our MVP combining Gentle Rafting with an exciting day on the Lower Channel in raft and sportyak.
On every trip there is time for bodysurfing and swimming. The guides make history, geology, flora and fauna come alive in nature’s classroom. You are on the river 4-6 hours and children are provided wet suits to keep them warm. Tax and $5/per/day service charge is added to all trips or packages.

I wanted to let you know how much my family and I enjoyed our MVP Program this week. We do quite a bit of family vacationing and it is unusual for us to return and say that everything was perfect, but it was!
