• The casting supplier recommended the cus- tomer consider a plastic design for the part, but the automotive company needed the mounts to act as a heat sink.
• The customer required all critical features to be cast into the mounting frame and that an accurate LED bulb angle was achieved for seven bulbs. Each of the bulb mounting surfaces were cast parallel with tight toler- ances on the hole positions for the lenses. No welding or assembly was required.
