Beijing National Stadium surrounded by Dragon Lake.

BIG BOOST OF ENERGY FROM THE OLYMPIC GAMES Te summer Olympic Games of 2008 in Beijing were very successful. Te China government’s rearrangement of the layout of Beijing before the Games were very mindful of following feng shui principles. Te Olympic Park was surrounded by a Dragon lake, with the Dragon head starting from the North, and water is excellent in the North.

Te shape of the National Stadium, known as “Bird’s

Nest”, looks like an ingot, symbolizing abundance. Te symbolic meaning of bird’s nest is also very auspicious, attracting all the birds into the nest. Te ancient name of Beijing also known as 燕京 swallow palace, and the bird’s nest stadium was built to attract birds coming from all over the world. Birds in feng shui also symbolize opportunities, bringing many new opportunities to China.

Te grand opening of the summer Beijing Olympics

was started at 08-08-2008 at 8:08pm. We all know that the number 8 is an auspicious number and is associated with great fortune, especially in the current Period of 8. At the West of the Olympic Park, there is a new White Dragon hotel named Pangu Plaza. Te building was designed as the Dragon head facing South and its tail facing North. Tis is a 7-star hotel in Beijing and was opened during the 2008 Olympics. Tis is my last issue talking about the Feng Shui arrangement from Beijing. Tis is one of the reasons why China is so strong, because of the help it gets from Feng Shui.

HOW TO ENSURE YOUR TENANT DOES NOT DEFAULT Te real estate market is very weak in the USA; lots of my clients would like to take this opportunity to change to a new home or to invest in property. One of my clients asked whether they should feng shui property that they

intend to rent out. It is very hard to place Feng Shui enhancements inside the property where your tenant lives, because not all tenants would like you to decorate their home for them. But even though you are unable to have Feng Shui protection in your income property, before you purchase the income property, you must make sure that the floorplan of the unit is in complete shape. In my experience, I have found that most of the condos and apartments have a missing sector. In this case, you should not choose a unit without a southeast, east, southwest, north or northwest sector, as any of these sectors missing could affect your tenant’s ability to pay the rent due to losing their job, divorce or other forms of misfortune or difficulties.

FENG SHUI TRIVIA: Beijing is protected by a powerful auspicious symbol, the mystic knot, as China Unicom’s logo is the mystic knot and the auspicious symbol is located on all phonebooths throughout Beijing and the other big cities.
