Here’s a peek of one of the latest Vertical Swing tower rides delivered by Zamperla. The 52-metre attraction is now thrilling guests at Dream Park in Cairo, Egypt. “We are very pleased with the results we have seen
from the Vertical Swing,” reports the park’s general manager, Samir Moghazi. “Since we opened the ride
to the public, the customer feedback has been very positive.” Not only is the ride the tallest of its kind yet
developed by Zamperla, it is also features the highest capacity leading Mr Moghazi to predict, ”With the current demand for the ride we are confident that it can pay back in less than two years.”

The Anglo-French water ride specialist Interlink is to supply new rides this season to parks in France and Sweden. A log flume is destined for Daftö Resort in Strömstad, while at Euro Park in Vias Plage, southern France, where Interlink has already installed a rapid river and a log flume, a mini flume is planned. The latter is a new addition to Interlink’s catalogue of products.
Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, Allentown, Pennsylvania, will install a 131ft Vekoma inverted boomerang shuttle coaster for the 2012 season. The ride will be moved to the site from Great America, Santa Clara, California, where it operated as Invertigo since 1998. A new name has yet to be decided.

The Saturn Projects Group has launched a new division to expand its services to the theming industry. Saturn Imagineering exhibited for the first time in
public last month at the DEAL show in Dubai, where it has just opened an office to cater for its clients in the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) region. According to Saturn, new parks, family
entertainment centres and other leisure facilities have opened and are flourishing in this part of the world, despite the general economic climate.

The two parks are operated by the Spanish group Parques Reunidos. Using patented queuing technology, Lo-Q's VQ2020 system ensures guest “queue” for a ride without having to physically stand in line. For six nights in October, Morey’s Piers, Wildwood, New Jersey, will transform its Mariner’s Landing Pier into a nightmare of epic proportions as it hosts Morey’s Fears Terror On The Boardwalk – its first ever Halloween event. “This has been ten gruelling years in the making," says Jack Morey, “We’ve been talking about it, having meetings and making plans; we just needed a centrepiece to justify something of this magnitude. The addition of Ghost Ship last summer provided us with the signature ‘fright feature’ that we needed to launch Morey’s Fears.”

England’s West Midland Safari Park has opened the largest Lemur walk- through facility in the country. The new Walking with Lemurs woodland habitat is home to the park’s Ring Tailed, White- Fronted Brown and Red Bellied lemurs – all native of Madagascar. The new exhibit took seven months to complete and is part of a £1 millon investment in new attractions for the 2011 season.
