Multitone


Multitone viewed the German market as an opportunity for business growth and decided that the region would benefit from a dedicated German speaking sales and support office. The first office in Germany was opened in 1958, originally in Berlin and then subsequently in Düsseldorf where we still have an active presence today.


On the 29 September 1969 Multitone opened up in Marham in the UK, initially in the local village hall.

As the business grew we needed to change premises and then transferred the business to Kings Lynn, a few miles away from Marham. This office was opened by Kenneth Baker, MP for Industry in 1984. At this time we were renowned for producing high quality radio pagers and our customer base included the Post Office, the Bell company and London Fire Brigade as well as numerous customers across the globe.
