Duke then almost blew the top off Cameron with a 13-1 spurt beginning with a 3 by Seth with 10:51 to go that left the home team on top for the first time. Seth scored the first seven points of the run and the Devils led the rest of the way. A pair of Devils -- Nolan and Seth -- hit their career-highs in style with 34 and 22 points respectively in the game.


Nolan received 73 of a possible 75 votes for ACC Player of the Year, becoming the conference- record 14th Blue Devil to take home ACC POY honors. Nolan averaged 20.6 PPG on the year and scored at least 20 points in 18 of 25 games after teammate Kyrie Irving suffered his toe injury. The senior captain took his game to another level this season, earning consensus first-team All- America honors.


Duke vs. Michigan State… Cameron was buzzing with two of the best programs and coaches in college hoops facing off. Kyrie brought his A game and delivered some highlight reel plays, scoring 31 points against the No. 6 Spartans to record the fourth 30-point game by a freshman in Duke history.


With a flurry of action in the paint, Mason Plumlee went off against Marquette in the CBE Classic with


25 points, 12 boards and five blocks. Duke won 82-77 in a hard-fought battle against the Golden Eagles.


One of the tougher two- week Duke stretches in recent memory came


in late November/early December. The Blue Devils beat Marquette (in KC), No. 4 Kansas State (in KC), Oregon (in Portland), No. 6 Michigan State (home) and Butler (in New Jersey) over 12 days.


With Michigan giving the Blue Devils quite a fight in the second round of


the NCAA Tournament, Nolan reeled off 10 straight points in the second half and scored 24 points in the game. The spurt ultimately was the biggest reason why Duke advanced to the Sweet 16 for the 12th time in 14 years.
