Kyrie Irving was an unbelievable teammate. After suffering the toe injury, the freshman responded with a positive attitude in a tough spot. During games, he was among the team’s best fans, jumping around after big plays and yelling words of encouragement. In particular, he often pulled aside Nolan and offered his insight. And even after the game he helped out, becoming the unofficial post- game locker room host for DukeBluePlanet.


During the ACC Tournament Championship Game against UNC, Miles rose for a huge putback slam. You could hear the “OOOOHHHs” in the Greensboro Coliseum.


After a stirring performance against UNC in the ACC title game, Nolan skipped off the court and right into his head coach’s arms.


Kyle Gets Buckets... Kyle showed off his hoop skills and light-hearted side in a trick-shot video that went viral with almost 800,000 views. Media nationally and worldwide featured the impressive buckets.


In the first round of the NCAA Tournament against Hampton, Kyle pulled down his 1000th rebound to become only the 9th player in ACC history with 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. The senior All- America also is the only player in ACC history to record 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, 300 offensive


rebounds, 250 three-point field goals, 200 assists, 100 blocks and 100 steals.


Duke ran the table at home for the second straight year, going 17-0 in Cameron. The Devils closed the season with the longest home win


streak in America (36 games) and the longest home win streak against non-league foes (86 games).

of a hostile crowd over at Maryland was nice as Kyle scored 22 points, including 11 straight in the second half. The victory also included one of the more powerful Duke dunks of the year as Mason took an inbounds pass right to the bucket for a one-handed slam. The Blue Devils defeated


a solid Maryland team three times on the year.


After winning the ACC title in Greensboro, the


team stopped for dinner at the University Club to watch the NCAA Tournament selection show. The Devils learned they had earned a No. 1 seed for the 10th time in 14 years. Coach K’s 12 NCAA Tourney No. 1 seeds are the most by a coach in the history of the Big Dance.


Quite possibly the most exciting and emotional Duke home game in a decade took place this season when UNC visited on February 9th. It


was all Tar Heels in the first half, and the Blue Devils headed to the locker room at halftime down by 14. The Devils then overcame the largest halftime deficit ever against UNC with an unforgettable second half. A Seth Curry jumper to close the first half sparked
