Skye Wellness Offers Spring Detoxification Workshop

P

reparing for spring detoxification, Skye Wellness will discuss well- ness protocols in order to begin a spring detox program on May 16, at 7 p.m. The

workshop will talk about why detoxification is vital to improving and maintaining overall health, what health benefits may be experienced from cleansing—includ- ing weight loss, increased energy, decreased food cravings, improved digestion and more—and cleanse-friendly menu planning, including tasting a few recipes. Laura Hollabaugh, managing member of Skye Wellness, along with Certified Nutrition Educator Sarah Carlson, will host the workshop. Carlson received her certification from Bauman College, in Berkeley, and serves on the board of direc- tors for the Health Medicine Forum, in Walnut Creek. Hollabaugh, who is certi- fied by the International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT), says that spring detoxifications revive energy, brighten the complexion and strengthen the immune system, while helping drop excess winter weight and eliminating toxins. “While most of us strive to perfect our external appearance, we spend little time and effort addressing our internal environment,” says Hollabaugh. “The main causes of our weight gain, physical deterioration and medical complica- tions are oftentimes missed. We end up dealing with the symptoms and not the root cause.”

Workshop cost: $10. Location: 2123 Ygnacio Valley Rd., Ste. 210, Walnut Creek. For more information or to register, call 925-939-7069, email Info@Skye-Well- ness.com or visit Skye-Wellness.com. See ad page 33.
