Raymond Center and HarryMikhitarian Golf Tr

The recently-opened Raymond Center and Harry Mikhitarian Golf Training Facility houses several state-of- the-art training aides for Siena’s golfers. On May 14, 2010, Siena College President, Fr. Kevin Mullen O.F.M., officially opened the facility with Ken Raymond and Mrs. Mikhitarian cutting the ceremonial ribbon.

The facility features a custom putting green, as well as an indoor driving range and a swing/video analysis center. Siena’s golfers make use of a personal club room as well as a player lounge, and the facility includes coaches’ offices and a club storage area. The Raymond Center and Harry Mikhitarian Golf Training Facility have already bolstered Siena’s already flourishing golf programs.

Through the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Raymond, the family of Mr. Harry Mikhitarian, and First Columbia, this exciting new addition to the Siena campus began taking shape during the Fall of 2009.

Siena’s golf teams have been at the forefront of Siena’s academic and athletic success. By having five athletes named as Academic All-Americans over the past three years, the men’s and women’s programs con- tinue to demonstrate the truemeaning of “student athlete.” The women currently are ten-time defending MAAC Champions, while themen have won two recent MAAC Championships, advancing to the NCAA tournament in 2006 and 2007.

The Raymond Center promises to be a signature building on the Siena campus. The custom-designed indoor putting green, driving range, and video analysis area will allow the teams to better prepare year-round, while the players’ lounge, coaches’ office and club storage area will assist players and coaches with recruiting and daily operations.
