VIVOTEK: The Preferred Partner for IP Surveillance By David Liu, National Sales Manager, VIVOTEK

VIVOTEK continues its leadership role in the IP camera market with the introduction of the SUPREME Series network cameras in 2011. The SUPREME series offers a number of new premium technologies while maintaining the quality and value for which VIVOTEK products are known.

Recognizing the trend toward adoption of IP technologies, savvy integrators look to VIVOTEK for IP video surveillance solutions to take advantage of customer demand coupled with impressive market growth of anywhere from 30-50%.

The Right Technologies

As the original manufacturer of our own cameras, VIVOTEK engineers are skilled in all aspects of optoelectronic, network and software integration to provide the best product possible to our customers. More than 50% of VIVOTEK’s employees are devoted to R&D, setting VIVOTEK apart as a technology and quality leader in the IP video surveillance market.

All of VIVOTEK’s latest cameras are equipped with H.264 compression and ONVIF compatibility. What this means for the installer is better bandwidth and storage savings with H.264, and more choice in recording platforms which are ONVIF compatible. Standard features in VIVOTEK cameras include POE, an SD/SDHC card slot for local storage, video cropping, ePTZ, tamper detection and much more. Additionally, most of VIVOTEK’s megapixel day/night cameras feature built-in IR illumination, which is a rarity in this product space and adds an additional layer of functionality for users wanting to be able to monitor at night.

Our first SUPREME series camera, the IP8151, has been shown at numerous tradeshows and events throughout the world. Among its newest features is Supreme Night Visibility. Traditionally, megapixel cameras require a well-lit environment to best capture color. VIVOTEK megapixel cameras featuring Supreme Night Visibility are able reproduce color and details better under low light conditions, improving pixel per foot performance through utilization of the latest back side-illuminated sensors.

The Right Selection

VIVOTEK is the worldwide leader in 2-megapixel IP cameras. Many integrators have settled on between 1-2MP as a standard for IP surveillance since they offer a substantial improvement over analog cameras while keeping storage and bandwidth requirements at a reasonable level.

VIVOTEK has the broadest selection at the best value in the industry of IP megapixel cameras. Our 1-megapixel camera line was introduced in 2010, offering a significant improvement in image quality over traditional analog models, but with the same sophisticated features as our high-end models at a price point similar to that of a high-end analog solution.

Throughout 2011, more cutting edge technologies from VIVOTEK will be introduced to make the adoption of high-end HD and megapixel cameras even easier. In addition to Supreme Night Visibility, our SUPREME series network cameras offer premium features such as Focus Assist, WDR and 60 fps frame rate.
