METALLURIGIST—needed for permanent position. Perform professional work in the study of extracting, refining, alloying, or processing metals, and in the characteriza- tion of properties and performance of metals under conditions of use. Position requires full professional education and training in the field of metallurgy, including ability to apply the relevant principles of chemistry, physics, mathematics, and engineering to the study of metals. Responsibilities include R&D of metal- lurgical testing procedures in gray and ductile cast iron, alloy design, and failure analysis. Implement product quality control and sta- tistical process control. Initialize corrective action of customer or in-house metallurgi- cal problems; set metallurgical parameters throughout the process including make-up, base chemistry targets, percent Mg treat- ment, and hardness test. QUALITY MANAGER—ATI-Casting Service is seeking a Quality Manager who will direct and implement programs designed to pro- mote and support quality objectives. Markets include large gray and ductile iron castings for production of: wind energy and natural gas turbines, steam turbines, locomotive engines, automotive dies, and ingot molds. This individual will work with administrative, operations management and staff to drive Toyota Production System and Lean Manu- facturing principles into the organization. Deployment activity will include such items as; Training, Development of Strategic and Tactical plans using the A3 tool, flow path mapping, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and utilization of root cause analysis systems to achieve repeatability in the manu- facturing process.
