The Countdown to Children’s Week Underway W


esley House Family Services will be celebrating Children’s Week, April 3-9, along with the rest of the state of Florida. Te purpose of Children’s Week is to spotlight issues facing children and families. Tis is a time when thousands of parents, children, profession- als, advocates, community leaders and concerned citizens come together to share valuable knowledge and information about chil-


dren’s issues across the state and in our state capital. During the months of February, March and April, children in schools and child care centers are coloring and designing paper cut-outs of their hands which will travel to Tallahassee and hang in the State Capitol Rotunda during Children’s Week. Nonprofit organizations across the state are partnering together to host hundreds of community events and activities de- signed to promote Children’s Week in Tallahassee.
