Basic Sailing/Crewing Course
The course will consist of five
classes on Wednesday evenings starting April 6 and finishing May 4. Four of these classes will be held in the clubhouse, with the class, taking place on boats. In addition, students will be required to complete two Mountaineers sailing outings before graduation and being listed on the crew roster. Graduates will be able to sign up for free sailing trips on the Puget Sound led by Mountaineers skippers on their own boats. See

First Aid At Sea Course April 12

Education Center are co-sponsoring a Coast Guard-approved First Aid at Sea course in Port Townsend. Topics include cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, patient assessment, hypothermia, cold-water near-drowning, shock, trauma, burns, fractures, choking, immobilization techniques, first-aid kits and more.
