GARY BUCHANAN is arguably the doyen of British cruise writers, a specialist for some 20 years and a connoisseur of all things maritime. He writes regularly for The Times and The Telegraph and is author of three books on QE2.
PETER NEWALL has been in the travel industry since 1974 but has been visiting ships for more than 45 years. He is a well-known writer and author of five highly acclaimed books, including the histories of Union-Castle Line and Orient Line.

CAROL WRIGHT is a freelance travel writer who, in addition to destination travel, specialises in cruising, food and spas. She has been chairman of the British Guild of Travel Writers twice and has written 30 books on travel and food subjects.
PETER RUSHTON is an ex-Union Castle Line officer who has served in all manner of ships under the House Flag of the British & Commonwealth Group. Today, he still devotes his working life to the cruise industry, specialising in lecture programmes for many lines.

ANTHONY NICHOLAS is a freelance writer who contributes to the likes of The Independent and Scotsman. He grew up with a love of such great liners as Olympic, Bremen and Normandie and has made almost 100 cruises and crossings to date.
THEODORE W ‘TED’ SCULL is a New York-based author and lecturer specializing in all things maritime. He has written hundred of travel articles in the past 25 years and his voyages include ships of all types – including an expedition to the frozen North.
