ADVERTORIAL

Tomorrow’s Performance. Today

PROMISE Technology offers highest performance storage system based on Intel’s™ new XEON Storage Platform.

The VTrak™ Ex30f offers world-class performance and scalability to meet the rapidly changing requirements of today’s organisations. Featuring four 8Gb/s Fibre Channel ports per controller (eight within a dual redundant system), and the latest 6G SAS backend architecture, the VTrak™ Ex30f uses Intel’s™ next- generation Xeon C5500/C3500 processor to provide a dramatic increase in power over competing solutions. Quadrupling the performance of previous generations of VTrak products is just the beginning.

Redundancy, High Availability and Load Balancing Full active-active redundancy is available across the entire VTrak line, ensuring user data remains available, even in the case of a major component failure. Even the Ethernet management interface is fault tolerant, using a virtual IP address to make sure the system is always right where you expect to find it on the network.

Scale up with JBOD Expansion In the ever-expanding cloud data center, storage demands are growing rapidly with each new subscriber. Therefore, scalable storage is an absolute requirement. Both the VTrak Ex30 and Ex10 support JBOD expansion, which allows cost-effective incremental extension of the storage capacity after the initial deployment, while reducing the overall cost per GB.

Energy saving included! The PROMISE GreenRAID initiative has endowed the VTrak Ex30f with greater efficiency. VTrak customers save on operational cost through reduced power consumption and cooling requirements, and can realise greater storage density. Delivered in an industry standard Storage Bridge Bay (SBB)

2.0-compliant package, the Ex30f offers full redundancy of all major hardware components, providing interruption free hot-swap replacement as well as non- disruptive software updates.

Low TCA (Total Cost of Acquisition) With powerful hardware platforms such as the VTrak Ex30f and Ex10 series featuring entry-level configurations as small as just four disk drives, it’s easy to understand how a partner like PROMISE can help you build your cloud cost-effectively, even in small remote office or backup sites. The low TCA lets you stretch your hardware budget from initial startup stage to complete worldwide build-out. The PROMISE 3-year advance replacement warranty and legendary 24/7-support organization are there when you need them, supplying excellent value and peace of mind, right out of the box.

Prepared for use with PROMISE Storage Virtualization Platform VTrak S3000 Larger enterprise and cloud environments demand the highest performance, particularly in terms of IOPs. The controlling and managing of data streams and IOPs from server farms, within data center, or from requests by server and desktop virtualization applications, need to be fulfilled by a powerful, high availability, fully redundant data storage solution.

PROMISE’s Storage Virtualization Platform, VTrak S3000, provides an active / active configuration for the central point of access, management and data upload. Delivering up to 400.000, IOPs PROMISE’s VTrak Ex30 also offers a fully redundant active / active configuration that delivers the download streams as needed to serve data to database or other demanding applications.
