DEDICATED SUITES The Farm often has up to 20 suites dedicated to cutting each instalment of The X Factor and behind-the-scenes spin-off The XTra Factor. “When it comes to finishing, we’ll run three online
suites conforming and delivering the shows. Each suite will have a lead editor working on specific parts plus an additional Avid Media Composer and editor prepping content. We also run three audio studios working on the final mix. In every way it’s a very big show.” With 15 million viewers, it seems worth it however: “The effort that goes into production, on both a creative and technical level, all shows on air. It’s quite something.”
