ENTERTAINMENT ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got More Talent keeps 17 Avid Media Composer suites busy at The Farm. Mixed on Pro Tools and onlined on Avid Symphony with lots of last minute edits, it’s a huge logistical exercise which would be impossible without Avid, says technical director Dave Klafkowski.


COMEDY Angst Productions’ BBC2 comedy Mock The Week is shot in two-and-a-quarter hours in front of a live studio audience. Material is ingested overnight into Avid Unity ISIS at Independent Post for a two-day edit on Avid Media Composer Nitris DX. Says editor Mykola Pawluk: “It’s fabulously fast, which is why I love it.”


ENTERTAINMENT Endemol UK’s C4 quiz Deal or No Deal is now captured on XDCAM discs, with a fully tapeless workflow. Edited at The Farm in Bristol, all media is ingested straight onto a 16TB Unity before cutting at online resolution on Media Composer Adrenalin and Mojo. After a grade in Baselight, the programme is finished in Nitris.


FACTUAL ENTERTAINMENT Shot on XDCAM HD, high and low res rushes are ingested simultaneously from Professional Disc at post house Evolutions. Low-res proxy files are assembled at six Cinergy logging stations at Talkback. The offline is in Media Composer, with grade in Baselight, finishing on Symphony with Pro Tools audio.
