PRIMETIME BROADCAST POST PRODUCTION
The tables opposite reflect Avid’s continued position as the first choice picture editing toolset for the UK broadcast community. There were many more but all of the stories we’ve included reflect complex post production challenges where Avid technology was essential to the final smooth production workflow. All demonstrate how Avid products added a unique value to the post community and both individually and collectively reflect Avid’s leading role as the choice of the editing professional. The inescapable conclusion is that in the world of post production, Avid is Primetime.
2010’s TOP TV BRANDS
The programme brands detailed below come from the Top Television Programme Brands of 2010 report published in the February 2011 issue of Televisual. Televisual went on to ask the programme makers involved whether they had used Avid editing products in the editing or mastering of the finished content. The following tables detail where Avid editing products had been employed.
In total there are 100 shows but 92 programme brands, as some occur in more than one category. The result shows that 86 of the 92 were completed using Avid editing products, or 93%. This is quite simply a phenomenal market share. The clear conclusion is that Avid is the leading post technology brand behind the leading television programme brands.
