the event

Each day of the event, your group of approximately 30 guests – accompanied by a dedicated Tauck Director along with local experts and guides – will embark on one of three custom-crafted sightseeing tracks designed to showcase the nature, history and cultural significance of jazz music, and the topics that Ken Burns sees as critical to our understanding and appreciation of it: “Roots of Jazz” (p. 28-29), “Jazz in the Quarter” (p. 30-31), and “Jazz & the Story of Survival Today” (p. 32- 33). Your small group will experience each of these themed adventures on a different day, then rejoin the other groups to enjoy extraordinary evenings of live jazz together – at NOCCA with a keynote address by Ken Burns and a performance by Ellis Marsalis; two different private performances featuring noted New Orleans artists at The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans; and aboard the Steamboat Natchez for our jazz-filled Farewell Dinner Cruise on the Mississippi River.
