Ken Burns Events Overview


Ken Burns Events are finely crafted, well-choreographed five-day exclusive travel experiences that are highlighted by an opportunity to meet award- winning filmmaker Ken Burns. They are specially designed to combine themed half-day sightseeing tracks with exclusive private Tauck events and four nights’ accommodation at some of the best city-center hotels. With only one departure of each event, they are truly exclusive events for 2011; they showcase what Tauck does best – and most importantly, they celebrate Tauck’s definition of the word “fun”!


• The Civil War Event and The Jazz Event feature an opportunity to meet filmmaker Ken Burns following his keynote address


• Both events are limited to 300 guests


• Daily themed sightseeing tracks will be in intimate small groups of approximately 30 guests accompanied by a Tauck Director and local guides


• Sightseeing is identical for each group, but will occur on different days for different groups; your specific, detailed day-by-day itinerary is provided at time of booking


• Exclusive evening events feature special performances and noted speakers in extraordinary venues


• All guests attend the lectures outside of the sightseeing tracks and special evening events together


• In this brochure, for both events, we’ve included a sample itinerary that follows one of our five-day schedules of sightseeing tracks
