Then of course comes oneCheck, the cash management system developed with Nanoptix. It combines the CashCode one validator and the Nanoptix PayCheck 4 ticket printer. It solves player disputes, and allows operators to print separate reports from the validator and printer, reconcile your cashbox contents, plus much more.

Nanoptix Nanoptix, as well as being on the Crane

Payment Solutions stand in the form of oneCheck, also had their own stand, the star of which was the transformer – aka the High Speed Video Lottery Printer [HSVL]. G2e saw the launch of this product, a printer that can be mounted in different ways within a cabinet. It boasts a patent-pending anti-pull bezel which tears the ticket before any length of paper can be pulled from the machine. Add this to a warranty that covers 960,000 tickets, or a 150km printer head warranty, and you’ve got a probable winner on your hands.

WMS

There’s just not enough space here to go into WMS’ Player’s Life Web Services development, or even to touch on their WAGE-NET Tech Center display at G2E, so we’re going to stick to the slots for the moment and come back to the in-depth technology in a future issue. The standout for us was The Godfather, another powerfully put together license from WMS. It looks wonderful, sounds fabulous and is a really creative marriage of slot gaming and video gaming. It’s a multi-level progressive with two base themes – My Daughter’s Wedding, and Corleone’s Office. It’s a local area progressive, and the two titles give players a look at both sides of the Don’s life.

really good looking title. Finally, following on from earlier Oz-related

slot products comes The Great and Powerful Oz, which WMS say is their biggest Wizard of Oz gaming experience to date. The Great and Powerful Oz combines Transmissive Reels technology with their Community Gaming innovation and Sensory Immersion for a really powerful gaming experience.

Quixant The gaming board innovators had a lot of

news for us at G2E, as Quixant’s Gary Mullins explains: “Quixant has moved to new offices in Cambridgeshire, UK, and in line with the move we have a new marketing manager starting with the company who is a Spanish-language speaker, as we are now pushing into the Spanish and South American markets into next year. We’ll be attending the ELA show and SAGSE, to promote our products to that market. We recently won a new customer in that market; they had tried all of our competitors’ products and have selected ours. They were one of the top machine manufacturers in Brazil before the market there closed; they have since relocated, of course. “The South American market is quite price

sensitive; the platform we have, as well as being the highest spec and best performance, is also competitively priced for that market. “We’ve also just employed a salesperson in

Italy, since we have established ourselves there with the leading and most cost-effective product in that market. We thought it was time to employ a dedicated salesperson who is working out of our Rome offices. She will develop client relationships and help keep us in the number one position there.”

FutureLogic After shouting about the GEN2 Universal

printer and associated PromoNet coupon marketing technology for the past few years, we were impressed by FutureLogic’s pitch for the new GEN3 Evolution printer. John Edmunds explained to us what makes the new printer so special… “We’re here to talk to operators about why

The very successful Monopoly brand is back

for more with Monopoly Around the Globe, with a hot air balloon race around the globe for players. This boasts WMS’s wonderful Transmissive Reels technology and comes in local and wide-area progressives. Another winner in the WMS Monopoly stable. Another local area progressive that impresses

was The Price is Right, one of those TV licenses that straddles both generations and cultures. A

we’ve introduced the GEN3 printer, what’s special about it, and why people should take a look at it. It’s tied very much to our PromoNet system, so the real benefits of the new GEN3 printer are linked to promotional couponing which is a real buzz phrase among operators that are running TITO- enabled casinos. “With the GEN3 it’s effectively a faster,

higher, stronger equivalent. It has a deeper tray so it can hold more tickets, it prints faster than

any other printer in the market, it does photographic quality printing – all of those things are geared towards the fact you’re going to be printing coupons. It’s not just about a black and white barcoded coupon with text – you want images, logos, marketing messages. Because you’re printing coupons as well as tickets, you’re going to need more tickets, because you’re printing two together you want it to print twice as fast… “We’re very excited about the GEN3. Unlike the GEN2 you don’t need a separate adapter for this – in the GEN3 the PromoNet adapter is built in. “If you don’t want promotional couponing, the GEN2 Universal is still the printer for you – but if you want couponing, GEN3 is the way to go.”

Also new for G2E was the link-up of

FutureLogic’s products with a range of seven slot products from leading manufacturers, so you could see the products in action. Triggers were in place for guests to see how the promotional couponing worked within an actual slot machine environment. It was a very effective demonstration of a great suite of products.

Incredible Technologies These guys will be making waves in the

casino sector before long, with a really interesting suite of products that could work superbly in international territories, as well as their home US market. Daniel Schrementi, Director of Gaming

Marketing, explained their product offering at G2E – and their plans: “We’re showing a new Hold’Em game called Upper Hand Hold’Em, a revolutionary slot- poker hybrid title where you’re playing a Hold’Em type feel against ten hands. In Keno we’ve got a new titles called Quad

Keno, which lets you bet on different quadrants of the Keno grid; it’s kind of like our answer to Multi-Card Keno; the player can say, “I think seven balls will fall into this quad of the Keno grid”.

“In terms of cabinets we are showing our new slant cabinet with us, the Breeze Slant 75 HD, a bar top cabinet which is brand new at G2E, and our new dual HD monitor upright cabinet, the Breeze Upright HD. “We’ve had a successful year of testing our

products and seeing how they have earned, we’ve pulled them back and geared up our math models to be optimised for the climate we are releasing the games into, and we’re looking to get these games out into the field in the first quarter of next year. We’ll be testing them in a variety US jurisdictions and expanding further, later in 2011.”
