espués de una ardua expo en Las Vegas, donde nos tuvimos que multiplicar para asistir a dos eventos fuera del Centro de Convenciones de Las Vegas, donde se realizó por última vez la Global Gaming Expo (G2E), nos preparamos para recibir las fiestas
de fin de año con una invitación al Hard Rock Hotel & Casino de Punta Cana, en República Dominicana.
G2E 2010 fue un éxito rotundo con increíbles muestras de las
empresas líderes de la industria, y si bien también visitamos la Hardwood Suite en el Palms de Las Vegas, donde la empresa Caribbean Gaming Solutions presentó los productos de Amaya Gaming, de Canadá, nos dimos con la grata sorpresa de que entre las muestras se encontraba el excelente juego virtual de carreras de caballos, Royal Derby, pero esta vez en formato de mesa de media luna con 6 posiciones de apuestas.
Nos encontramos en Las Vegas con la gente del Show del Caribe, de SAGSE y de FADJA, quienes confirmaban que los espacios en las respectivas ferias de la región latinoamericana ya empezaban a coparse. En verdad el trabajo de las ferias es arduo, porque no solamente las empresas han empezado a medir sus bolsillos en este nuevo decenio donde falta la plata, sino que como otras, empiezan a ver alternativas a las ferias para optimizar la muestra de sus productos, pero como dice Courtney Muller, organizadora de G2E, ¡los clientes quieren ver a todos en un mismo sitio!
Bueno, desde estas líneas, agradecemos a quienes lo hacen, la
generosidad de vuestros comentarios sobre nuestro medio de información, y a todos les deseamos felices fiestas con celebraciones en familia durante Navidad, y donde se encuentren, recibiendo muy felices el Año Nuevo 2011.

¿A la tercera va la vencida en Paraguay?
Con dos intentos de licitación de casinos en Paraguay, podría ser que a la tercera vaya la vencida y la Comisión Nacional de Juegos de Azar (Conajzar) realice con éxito una tercera licitación para casinos en el país mediterráneo de Sudamérica.

ell, it was a very busy G2E Las Vegas, where we had to cover two other events off the LVCC, which hosted for the last time the Global Gaming Expo. Now we are getting ready to celebrate the New Year thanks to
an invitation to the official opening of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
G2E 2010 was an unmitigated success, with unbelievable
exhibits from the global industry leaders. When we visited the Harwood Suite at the Palms Hotel & Casino, where Caribbean Gaming Solutions presented the Amaya Gaming products, we were pleased to find amongst the exhibits from the Canadian company the world’s favourite virtual racing game, Royal Derby, but this time in a BJ table format with 6 playing positions.
In Las Vegas we met the guys from the Latin American
expos, all of whom confirmed that most of the exhibition spaces had already been booked for each of their events. These guys do work really hard, not only on account of the fact that most companies are streamlining their marketing expenses but also because some firms are looking for alternatives to get the best out of their exhibits. However, as Courtney Muller, G2E organizer said: “Exhibitors want to see all their clients in just one place!”
As we get to the end of the year, I would like to thank all of
you who are generous with comments on our gaming media efforts, and wish everyone excellent year end celebrations with your families during Xmas, and wherever you are during the New Year 2011.

Is it third time lucky for Paraguay?
With two failed tenders for their casinos, Paraguay’s Comisión Nacional de Juegos de Azar (Conajzar), is getting a third international tender process under way to ensure that third time lucky does get punters ready to invest in casinos in this Mediterranean South American country.
