THE MONTH WRING THAT NECK During the 1980s, Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielson could often be seen at gigs playing with about six guitars hung round his neck. Such sublime idiocy was brought under control by the patently ridiculous when Nielson had a five-necked guitar made for him by Hamer. Over 20 years later, Nielson still shamelessly hauls this beast out for gigs, seen here at Future’s Classic Rock Awards, sponsored by Marshall. How do you get your hand around that bottom neck, Rick?
