5. WHITE MOUNTAINS / GREEN MOUNTAINS A journey through the White Mountains leads to Crawford Notch and dramatic Franconia Notch, where you’ll take a short walk in the Basin. Lunch is à la carte at the historic Hanover Inn, on the Green at Dartmouth College, before a stop in the riverside village of Quechee for a visit to the Vermont Institute of Natural Science. 6. RURAL VERMONT / WOODSTOCK Drive along iconic New England country lanes to Woodstock for a visit to the Billings Farm and Museum, a virtual museum of rural Vermont as well as a working dairy farm.
